At the Fashion Fringe Final, all three finalists – Fyodor Golan, Heidi Leung and Nabil El-Nayal were outstanding, I could not choose between them. A couple of my friends preferred Nabil El-Nayal’s gothic romanticism, Victorian inspired styles. I loved them myself but I also loved Heidi’s eye for the details, with beautifully crafted designs. I also had appreciation for how she employed splashes of deep green, orange and yellow across her collection. Fyodor Golan’s The Flowers of Evil collection was devastatingly beautiful – with stunning detailing complementing nature, injecting white leather and colourful flower petals.
In my eyes all the contenders were winners but the award could only go to one of them. After a short speech, Fyodor Golan designers Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman were announced as winners by Roland Mouret. I was delighted for them!
At the after-party, I met up with some great friends and got to see Claudia Schiffer. I also got to spent time alone with Diana Vickers, chatting and hanging out with her. It was quite memorable. Thank you to the Fashion Fringe team for inviting me along!
Next month, Fyodor Golan will host a catwalk show at the London Fashion Week for the AW12 season and I am eager to see what they have in store for us!
