I have been to many, many catwalk shows in the last two years but nothing quite like this one. The star studded event was hosted at the very picturesque Tower of London’s outdoor ice skating rink. It was freezing cold but all the energy from the party crowd, and Lauren Pope’s DJ tracks around the venue had us all feeling most eager to see the runway show, which was to showcase Very.co.uk’s Christmas capsule collection.
The models were all professional skaters. Some danced along the way and demonstrated their finely honed skills – one male skater actually did a backflip which had has all going, “Oooooh” and “Ahhhh!”. I was sat right on the same bench as the cast from Made in Chelsea and was sitting next to Jamie Laing. The cast from TOWIE were also there and the nice surprise of the evening was to see Ella Henderson (X-Factor) skating along at the end of the fashion show.
Thanks to the lovely Laura for taking this photo of Ella Henderson while I was skating!

I am told it was the very first catwalk show on ice in the country. It was highly enjoyable – glamour on ice and very Christmassy. Later on, we all retired back inside for some drinks and chat. Ollie told me about a brand new book he has been writing – all about relationships and I discussed hair with Binky. She is keen on dip-dye and I hope she will give it a go because it would look pretty hot on her. They are both every bit as lovely and warm as I expected them to be, and Cheska looked great!
My friends were wanting me to join them for a bit of ice skating, and I was really keen to practice so I jumped into a pair of skates and joined them. Two female friends who are much skaters than I am, helped teach me some of the basics and towed me along like a broken down car on tow. I am pleased to say it was the first time I had gone skating without falling down once, so I am certainly improving! I am guessing that it will probably be a while before I can parade my skating abilities and really strut my stuff like an Olympic figure skater though!

It was pretty interesting to watch, Lara. An elegant display!
