The Truman Brewery on East London’s Brick Lane has been converted into a delightful magical forest containing a bar, by Rekorderlig. If you are in London then it’s one place you really must visit before it ends on 6th November. I was really blown away by the experience when I went there on the launch night before it opened to the public a few days ago. With pine trees, wild foliage all around, and leaves all over the floor, it really did feel like having a party inside a real forest – well, minus the chill and wind, thank goodness. Free blankets were supplied. There were live Scandinavian DJs providing great tunes by the northern lights. It was a quite a unique experience. Here is a little video I made:
Rekorderlig’s complete cider range is on offer and Scandi tapas dishes including elk sausage rolls, Västerbotten cheese croquette topped with cloudberry chutney and traditional Swedish meatballs with pressed potatoes & ligonberry jam can be had!
Tickets have been sold out online but you can still buy them at the door from 8pm for £5 on a first come, first served basis. Each ticket entitles you to a free Rekorderlig tasting tray. Open every night until 6th November. I have already been there twice and plan on making another visit soon!
