The Wish magazine party with Carrie & Lucy

It is funny how things turn out. Many years ago, long before I had started my own fashion blog, my favourite blog was Carrie’s WishWishWish. I remember looking at her site with awe and transported on some kind of magical journey into her world of vintage wonderland. It was truly one of a kind back then and still is today. Since then we have met in person many times – from fashion weeks to press events and award shows where our blogs were nominated for awards, and my admiration for her has grown over the years. Lucy is another delightful blogger who I have had the pleasure of meeting a few times at press events and fashion weeks – she always gives me the warmest, affectionate hugs and I love spending time with her. I am really glad to call Carrie and Lucy my friends, and when I found out they were planning to start a magazine together I felt elated for them. A few weeks ago, I got a lovely surprise when I received a letter through the mailbox with my name on the invitation card, asking me to attend their Wish magazine launch party.

The party itself took place near Camden in London and was so much fun. The turnout was quite wonderful. There was so much going on, with knitting classes, live illustrators willing to draw a sketch of us, drinking and a huge range of treats to eat. The amount of food – especially cakes – on the tables were overwhelming. The lemon curd cake simply had me wishing I could eat plates of it.

When I looked at the magazine, I really was impressed with the quality of the content. With over 85 pages of inspiration and creativity – it is filled with pages featuring lifestyle, interviews, travel, music, illustrations and of course affordable clothes. Now fans have another avenue they can walk into, to get closer into the world of WishWishWish.

I am very excited for Carrie and Lucy, and wish them all the success for the future! I think it is quite an exciting project.
