Winners of the Religion X Premier Model search & the parties…

Last Wednesday I was invited to attend a party hosted by Religion Clothing and Premier Model Management in Shoreditch store where the modelling agency was due to announce two new faces to front Religion’s Autumn/Winter 2013 lookbook and campaign. The East London clothing label had been working with Premier and House of Fraser, scouting through various locations across the country since September to look for two fresh new faces aged 16-22. Shortly after I had began sipping away on my drink and joyfully mingling with some friends and new people, Premier Model Management founder Carole White announced the two winners as 16 year old Thea Hudson and 19 year old Philip Ellis. Both fought off several hundreds of applicants to win and were ultimately chosen for their modelling potential as well as their refreshingly edgy looks. They will be handed a contract with Premier Model Management and will receive £800 to spend at House of Fraser. Congratulations to them!

Aside from modelling, Philip Ellis is hoping to become a womenswear designer as he studies BA Fashion at Central Saint Martins. Thea is in her final year at Stockport Grammar School, which through pure coincidence also happens to be where Phillip studied 3 years ago.

Later on we all moved down to Religion’s amazing warehouse space on Rivington Street, where the after-party of the party took place, spanning across three floors. It was brilliant fun – with two sets of DJs on two different floors, open bars and several rooms to hang out in. It was much like a house party but with models all over the place. We drank, we danced, snapped some photos and laughed. It was a good night to unwind and chill.
