The catwalk show took place at a beautiful Ballroom situated inside one of the world’s most famous and prestigious hotels – The Savoy. I joined an old friend Gemma Cartwright and Sherin shortly before going in and was asked to sit on the front row before the show started.
My expectations were high for Maria’s SS12 collection and it did not disappoint. Draped dresses. Loose fitting, super wide trousers with slits. Mostly light palettes – which I liked. The designs were luxurious – the fabrics simply flowed through the air as the models walked along. Guaranteed to satisfy the needs of the sophisticated woman. It was a marvel to watch.
On YouTube someone uploaded a video of the show and you can see me on the front row, on the left, wearing an off-white blazer, my Union Jack bag and bow tie. I am seen taking photos from right to left, and then clapping. It’s a bit funny.
And then on this video, on the left – I am the one in green trousers and light blazer – taking photos.
EDIT: Maria Grachvogel sent me a tweet via Twitter, expressing her appreciation for my photos! I have no idea how she found my blog but I am delighted about it! :]
