I was so excited about this. Somehow I managed to miss this event last year and I cannot actually remember why, although I know I could have gone if I wanted to. For one reason or another I didn’t. I simply love all things Japanese. The food, the culture, Manga, the outrageous and colourful fashion. It really is a unique country and it has always been a dream of mine to live in Tokyo. The people are polite and softly spoken. I love how you can buy just about anything from vending machines and for fans of technology it really is a Mecca. Hyper Japan is the perfect event to immerse yourself in Japanese culture. The venue had two floors filled with a range things to see such as: anime, manga, cosplay, video games, sushi workshops, dancing, comics, clothes and so much more. Foodies would love it there as there was so much to choose from!
The highlight of the show for me though, was seeing all the Kawaii things – particularly the women in cute and beautiful dresses. I simply LOVE seeing people who are creative with their outfits. Some of the women wore some pretty outstanding hair accessories – boats, cakes, birds. Wowser. Most people may think it’s over the top but I think it’s quite fascinating!
I had such a brilliant time. All the women there enjoyed posing for me and were really super sweet! I will have some more photos up tomorrow.

I did but I think I only got shots of the winner, Scarlett Young. I had trouble finding the other girls as I didn’t see them walking around inside the venue. The photos will be up on this blog tomorrow! :]
