Earlier this month, I was invited to celebrate the start of a collaboration between Danish supermodel Helena Christensen and Belgian-based brand Kipling at an evening party in East London. Due for release later in the year there will be a special collection of bags, and at the party we got a taster of things to come. Helena has always used Kipling bags when traveling so she was quite delighted when she was approached with the idea of creating her own line of bags. What’s interesting is that the prints on the bags are taken from her own collection of self-taken photos. My favourite was the pink rose clutch bag she was holding.
At the party, we sipped delicious cocktails and champagne. There were polaroid photographers taking our photos and capturing special moments while live DJs provided us with top tunes all evening until it was past midnight. Helena was a wonderful host and kept us entertained while Arran Sly, face of Calvin Klein danced the hours away with his model friends.
The Kipling x Helena Christensen collection will be available to buy in September.
