Fashion lovers partied the night out as Vogue’s Fashion Night Out returned this year, bigger and even better than before. It was a night to remember. I had a few followers on Twitter who asked to meet me. I met a few in a pub near Carnaby Street and then organised 3 others to meet up and spend the evening with me. We all got along so well and had a fantastic night! The parties across West End were sensational – The Box Boutique, Rupert Sanderson, Charlotte Olympia and Burberry all deserve special praise for making it extra special.
Going to the Charlotte Olympia store was quite wonderful because not only is it a beautiful store, which looks like an art gallery but Charlotte Olympia Dellal was right there herself, in person! Sat next to a table in casual clothes, she was hand-painting her high heel Charlotte Olympia shoes. It felt a lot like being inside her home. Charlotte greeted and talked with everyone. It was such a wonderfully, relaxing experience. My friends and I really enjoyed being there. Charlotte, thank you so much!
At the Box Boutique we had endless freshly made candy cotton at our disposal. I loved it there – it’s a very beautiful, quirky boutique with a distinctive personality. The party crowd was largely made up of eccentric, fashionable people with interesting styles which made them stand out from the ordinary. Loved the drinks and the staff were lovely. I met with co-owner Yulia, who is an extremely charming woman, and Matthew Zorpas who is a real gentleman. Matthew ensured everyone in attendance had a good time. I made my way to the Box Boutique purely because I had friends on Twitter raving about how good it was. It was a brilliant party!
Fashion pals I spent the evening with: Emma, Milly and Pierina.
On that evening, Coach had opened their Bond Street store. Inside were VIPs including Daisy Lowe and Gwyneth Paltrow!
Boots belonging to a random woman standing in street as she talked to someone over the mobile phone. Not only she was cool about us taking photos, she appeared to be loving it.
Inside Burberry, we went upstairs for a short while where it was much quieter than the fully packed out ground floor. Sometimes you see something happening and you just want to capture the moment. This was one of them. I saw this hyper excited, beautiful woman pull out a Burberry trench and pose with it for a photo. It made me stop and take notice. I grinned, then we went over to her for a quick chat. I love seeing excited people and being around them. They instant come across as fun people to be around. Must confess that I found her very attractive, and it was because she seemed like someone who is full of life. <3
The Burberry party was simply amazing. It was so busy and lively with so much happening all over. I am very impressed by how relaxed the security were about letting in such mass crowd of people as usually the big luxury stores tend to quite strict about not allowing too many people inside. I had quite a few nice comments from the party crowd, random people saying hello and complimenting me on my Union Jack bow tie. I actually got a bit drunk in there and felt quite lively – I think we all did but it was all in good fun. I never wanted to leave but we wanted to hit a few more places before the night would be out.
At 10.30pm when most of the stores had closed, I found out from Reena Rai that Rupert Sanderson was still open until 11pm. She wanted me to come over, and I wanted to meet her. Rupert Sanderson had a very unique treat for Vogue’s Fashion Night Out at their store – a roller skating disco! It HAD to be seen to believed. The entire upper floor had been converted into a makeshift roller skate disco. After putting my skates on and going into the skating hall, it took a grand total of….. 10 seconds for me to fall right down! Fortunately I fell backwards and landed on my bottom instead of falling forward on my knees! Then I spent most of the time crashing into something or falling, haha. It was rather embarrassing, particularly as everyone else seemed fine skating along but I still had brilliant fun. One of Reena’s friends had me put my arms around her waist so she could pull me along. This was really super sweet. :]
After 11pm we retired to a tiny, sweet little pub just off Bond Street until nearly midnight. I had such an enjoyable evening and never wanted it to end. Vogue’s Fashion Night Out 2011 is one of the best nights I have had in a very long time.

I am glad you do as it’s fun sharing the photos! It was really great meeting up with Reena! We both wanted to meet all evening and it wasn’t easy because she and I were at different parties until we met at the roller skating! She is lovely in person, which is what I expected. :]
