It has been quite a while since I last did an outfit post here on the blog. Too long, and I need to get back into creating more posts like this one again. These were shot in Covent Garden last month when the weather was still very much in autumn mode – comfortable enough not to have to throw a coat on top of everything I was wearing. That’s no longer possible these days, and perhaps won’t be until next March as winter creeps into our world. The coat is very much like that layer of icing you put on top of the cake you bake – you just cannot see what is underneath. So when you buy a coat, you need to ensure it looks pretty damn wonderful as it is the one thing most people will perhaps see more frequently on your body than any other garment you happen to have in your wardrobe. It is fair to say that the coat hunting season for me has officially began!
