I made a trip down to Notting Hill where a new boutique had opened recently. An e-mail popped into my inbox with a polite invitation, requesting my visit so that I could come along and have a look. It had been a while since I had been in the area and this gave me a good excuse to pop over for a visit! The boutique is just around the corner from Wolf & Badger, and called NARCISS. They produce luxury clothes for sophisticated women who like to wear something special. The boutique itself is very well presented – with white brick walls, white wooden floors, fitting room and ample floor space to walk around in when trying on outfits.
The staff are very welcoming and ready to assist. I met the NARCISS team including its fashion designer Alise Trautmane who is from Latvia. What I find particularly interesting about Alise is that her academic background has no connection to fashion but Law and Economic. She also worked as a Business Consultant for years. After attending lectures at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, and Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan she became a fashion designer. We discussed the brand and her collections. I enjoyed talking to her. She is softly spoken and has a gentle nature. I had a good look at her clothes and would say the dresses are ideal for ladies wanting to push for the elegant, sophisticated look. I loved the feel of the fabrics and was astounded by how seemingless weightless some of the dresses were. Beautifully designed.
I loved how the bricks and wooden floors were clearly visible, and looked bright and fresh in white. The white also gives that extra spacious feel.
Yum!
A luxury drink with luxury clothing.
Like clothes, one can never have enough strawberries.
The ribbon here, adds an extra feminine touch. Love it.
Marisse Just (Shop Manager), Alise Trautmane (Designer) & Deniss Schevelove (Sales and Marketing Manager) pose for my photo. Very much enjoyed meeting them!
Three outfits I liked – the one on the left is my personal favourite (images by NARCISS).
See the catwalk show video for the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
You can check out NARCISS’s website at narciss.lv, on Facebook and I would very happily recommend visiting the store at 185 Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill.

Hello Ginta! Thanks! It really depends on the specific product. I noticed you are on Twitter so you can tweet @NARCISS_fashion and ask them. :]
