Just a few days ago, during an early evening on Regent Street I came across these lovely women. They are not really construction workers but they wore the fun outfits all in the good name of charity. Fundraising for CBIT (Child Brain Injury Trust). It is rare that you ever come across a woman sporting a hard hat and a construction outfit so I really wanted to take a photo. Naturally I donated some money too. I have a rather soft spot for women who volunteer and support the less fortunate. Bonus points for wearing Converses!

would love to know who these lovely ladies are – Child Brain Injury Trust is a very small charity and doesn’t have many ‘collectors’, so we are intrigued

These fantastic girls are from Archbishops School in Canterbury,Kent and they were raising money for the Child Brain Injury Trust in memory of my son who died of head injuries following a road traffic accident near Whitstable Kent last July. If Tom hasd survived his horrific injuries we are in no doubt be in need of this small but wonderful charity. Thank you so much.

Hello there, thanks for letting us know! I am really very sorry about your son and hope you are getting plenty of support from friends and family. They were lovely girls, clearly dedicated and I was proud to meet them. It is always heartwarming to know there are people out there wanting to help make a real difference in people’s lives. :)

okay no offense but I am a female in construction and was just trying to look up a way to keep my hair from being damaged at work and came across this. One these women are not women but girls, 2 when in construction it is required that the hair length not pass the collar line (of a normal shirt not a low cut), 3 long pants (sometimes you can get away with long shorts) are also required and not the fashioned hole filled kind. 4 usually hard (steel) toed shoes are required so sporting Converses is not real. I do understand they are raising money and for a good cause I support that and don’t mind them wearing the outfit but I just get sick of people seeing things like this and think it is an easy job and that these are working women, you cant hardly make a construction worker look good on the job. trust me I have tried but I actually do my work and to me that is more important
