Selfridges has opened doors to its brand new 26,000 square foot space Denim Studio last month and I had an e-mail land in my mailbox asking me over to have a look. It was an evening of fun. First some details. It is the world’s largest and most comprehensive denim department, selling over 60 brands. Prices start from £11 and go all the way up to £11,000, which would buy you a pair of The Selfridges Luxe diamond embellished skinny jeans by Paige Denim. Some of the brands you will find include a mixture of high street and high end denim: Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Junya Watanabe, Alexander McQueen, Primark, J Brand, Levi’s and Christopher Kane.
It’s pretty impressive how big and specious the studio is, and I love the jeanius bar featuring tall bar stools, where you can play with giant touchscreens to view lookbooks and brand biographies. The lounge is very cool as well, and is open to anyone wanting to take a moment to sit down on luxury sofas, and grab hold of a selection of fashion magazines on the table to read.
The entire staff were absolutely lovely and made me feel like a VIP, we all had a banter and discussed our favourite brands and jeans. I was also asked to try some on – one of the female sales assistant kept bringing me some of the more daring and bold pairs to wear. It was brilliant fun and I fully enjoyed seeing how much variety there is to choose from in terms of prints, colours and patterns. You are truly spoilt for choice. It’s remarkable how much you can do here. You can buy denim by the kilo (there is a huge weighing machine) and can have your jeans altered if required. It also allows for customisations on certain dates and there are also in-store demonstrations. Women’s denim experts are also there to share their knowledge and expertise on to help you find your perfect pair if you book in for personal shopping (free). Denim jackets, shorts, jeans, dungarees are available with studs, dip-dye, leather and rips. It is your one stop destination.

Those are all nice. I’m glad to have stumbled upon this post as i am a denim lover. I love denims, to jeans to shorts and skirts and this store, is really big. I think it would be difficult to choose a denim as they have a lot to choose from. Anyway, these are all fashionable styles.
