It is official! H&M just announced that a collection will be made for women and men, to be released in over 300 stores worldwide. So get your pen out and make a note in your diary because on 17th November 2011 it will be available to buy in-store and online. H&M’s statement: “Designed by its creative director Donatella Versace, the exclusive collection will look back to the vibrant heritage of the brand, full of leather, print, colour and exuberance in exclusive materials.” Donatella says she is “thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.”
Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s Creative Advisor added: “Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for. Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and it is perfect for the party season”.
The womenswear collection features studded leather, silk and colourful print. There will be high heel shoes and also jewellery to wear. Menswear will focus on “sharp” tailoring and will include an immaculate tuxedo. Belts and jewellery will be on sale too. There will also be some products for the home such as cushions and bedspread. Can’t wait!
Yesterday, in Milan she wore one of her H&M designed dress at the Spring/Summer 2012 menswear show (see below) to give us an idea of what we can expect in the shops this coming November! H&M sent me these photos directly, to share with you all.
And here are photos of some of the dresses women will be able to purchase. They are GORGEOUS. In the image directly below, you can see Donatella and Margareta van den Bosch working with the models. I especially love the studded leather jacket! The shoes look truly beautiful – lucky women!

Donatella Versace has also designed a pre-spring collection for H&M which will be exclusively available in countries with H&M on-line sales from 19th January, 2012.
