It is always great fun going backstage, where you get to see everything being put together. I have been quite fortunate to have done this regularly over the last four years, and it never gets boring. The looks we see on models on the catwalk are inspired by stories, and influence a number of different qualities including: shape, fabrics and colour. Make-up, hair and accessories also play big roles in the looks and backstage you see it all come together. There are so many stages, and processes that goes on behind the scenes to create the final products the audience gets to see when they sit down (or stand) to watch the show unfold in front of their very eyes. The end result is something that takes several months, sometimes even years of work to achieve. The Bora Aksu Autumn/Winter 2015 collection draws inspiration from the songbird featured in Oscar Wilde’s The Nightingale and the Rose. The embroidery is quite breathtaking to look at, and you would expect nothing less from the designer.

Very jealous; you’ve been all over LFW the last few days! I did get to go up to the UGG Sanctuary in ME Hotel which gave me a taste but left me wanting more. Hope the rest of the week is just as good for you!
