Backstage with models, stylists, make-up artists at the Tellus Fashion launch party

Behind the curtains, it is always great fun taking a look at what goes on backstage, seeing work in progress and watching all the pieces come together to produce the finished article. I went to the launch party of Tellus Fashion, which supports supporting emerging talents in the fashion industry. Complete with a blog, shop, TV and magazine it is your one stop destination for inspiration and buying designer pieces from up and coming brands.

At the launch party, we were treated to many catwalk shows featuring outfits by Kelly Bull, NARCISS, Zerrin Akinci, FABRYAN, Thom Neal, Stephanie Grace Faye, VERGI, James Kearns, Fjaba and Dominique Kral Close.

I was invited by the lovely Olivia Pinnock who pulled strings and worked her socks off organising it all. The moment I walked into the backstage area where models, stylists, make-up artists were working under a slight panic, attempting to get ready, they all stopped what they were doing as I was introduced to every person in the room. Complete silence. All eyes were on me. Kisses on cheeks, handshakes – everyone in the room said hello. One lady took charge and introduced me to all the ladies and then I was asked what I had been up to. It was a bit like giving a public speech as they all looked and listened. The experience was pretty amazing and showed a great deal of respect!
