It is only a few days until it is officially spring and I do not know about you but words can barely describe how thrilled I am at the prospect of seeing some more sunshine, and finally getting to reducing the number of layers I am having to wear just to stay warm. We will soon be able to put away our winter clothes and invest in plenty of spring and summer wear. I cannot contain my excitement. Many of my winter clothes will be sold off via eBay to raise funds for new purchases and I have already been eyeing up so many items of clothing I want to buy from the high street! In with the new, out with the old.
I was asked by one of River Island’s delightful PR girls to come and look at their Miami collection and was treated to a presentation – with catwalk models wearing some of the latest designs. The trend for the collection, is influenced by the Latin American culture in Miami and features some statement prints and spring colours. My favourite item is the pink flower halter neck dress – easily the star of the show for me. I showed it to a few friends and they all love it too. The tortoise pearl collar tank is another piece I feel looks wonderful in its simple elegance, and I am a big fan of the stripey pink & yellow fluorescent jumper. The Miami range is available right now in the stores and I expect it will be popular.
