Sophia Webster’s delightful shoes provokes a sudden sensation of excitement

With over tens of thousands of different designs in the heavily saturated shoe market, it takes something really quite special to stand out. I feel Sophia Webster has done just that. 3 months ago, she had been one of the lucky few to win a BFC NEWGEN sponsorship to secure her spot at London Fashion Week SS13. With her education from the Royal College of Art and Cordwainers, she has also worked as Nicholas Kirkwood’s design assistant. I just love the splash of bright colours across many pair, the hearts and the polka dots across her collection.

She describes her shoes as “single soles, feminine lines and strong silhouettes.” Sophia’s designs are thrilling and I personally cannot wait to see more and more of her distinctive shoes! What do you think of them? I felt a sudden sensation of excitement the moment I saw them.
