I had a number of requests from fans of Japanese fashion asking me to post some more photos I took at the HYPER JAPAN, earlier in the year. I captured hundreds of moments from the 2 days I spent there and I am releasing many more to share with you. SO KAWAII! Just looking everyone’s outfits made me admire how dedicated they are, particularly when I learnt that many of them actually design and sew their own costumes. They plan months in advance and get inspired by Japanese movies, animes, video games and music bands. That is passion!
If you missed out on attending back in February then you may be delighted to learn that HYPER JAPAN is returning for the second time in London this year, on 23rd-25th November. That’s twice in one year. I am thrilled and will certainly be there. The taste of the sushi, made by real Japanese people, is truly out of this world, and on a completely different level to the ones you find in YO! Sushi.

Love the pictures, they bring back fond memories of Japan. And I agree, you can’t beat “real” sushi!

I remember you telling me and when I tried them for the first time, my God, it was such a shock. I was blown away by how much better they taste!

Love the outfits and pictures and all the little kawaii merchandise, but I must admit Hyper Japan in London July 2011 was the biggest let down ever! :( Two and a half hours queuing to get in and it took less then 30 minutes to poke around :( Have any of the events following been of better quality/bigger size?

Jaime! You didn’t put up the photo of me and you!

Haha, I don’t like how I look in it. I DID post it on instagram back in Feb though! :]

I remember when that happened! Yes learnt a lot from that day and changed the venue to Earls Court, and it was much, much better. There was no crazy queues in February when I went. Just to be on the safe side, buy the ticket in advance. Back in 2011, I had a ticket and skipped the looooong queue where most people were in line to buy a ticket on the day.

We did buy tickets in advance :( We were waiting in the queue to get in :( Thanks for the info though. But we doubt we’ll be going again! Once was enough ;)
