The past few weeks have been pretty incredible for me. Getting invited to the Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Louis Vuitton Press Days, then Tatler magazine putting up an outfit photo of me at a party. My feet are still firmly on the ground. The Jimmy Choo autumn and winter Press Day made me realise how much I envy women for the range of choices they have when it comes to shoes. Perhaps I am in the minority amongst my fellow gentlemen but I love looking at women’s shoes as they can be a real work of art. Unlike most men it is not just high heels I appreciate but I greatly love stylish flat pumps as well.
The idea behind the Jimmy Choo autumn/winter 2012 collection is sexy 1970s rock and roll glamour, mixing the styles of Kate Moss and the legendary Jimi Hendrix. It’s a vision Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway had, of a world where the vibe is said to be decadent yet rebellious. There are embroidered suede, deeply hued snakeskin, shearling and metallic python used across the collection. Enjoy the images and then start counting the days until autumn, when you will finally get the opportunity to buy these remarkable little treasures.

I too envy women’s shoe options! Charlie found the most amazing pair of Jimmy Choos at this press day, I was so surprised because usually I think of them being a bit gaudy. Love the Flickr slideshow idea – might have to steal this since I always have way more images than I want to post…

LOVE all of these shoes, your photos are always amazing. Happy to report that there were quite a lot of men appreciating the art of women’s shoes at the Christian Louboutin retrospective today (including my boyfriend). Also, big congratulations on your success Jamie, it’s great to see you doing so well and being recognised by the industry.

Go for it! It’s a good way of avoiding your posts becoming too heavy. :]

Thank you very much, Meg! It’s very kind of you. I am glad you and your boyfriend enjoyed the Christian Louboutin Retrospective – those shoes deserve their very own exhibition. They are too good not to be shared! :]
